WHAT IS HAMMERFEST?

A quick Google search will throw up the world's most Northers city (in Norway) ... But it is also New Zealand's most Northern outdoor Punk & Metal festival, held over summer in Waipu Cove with camping sites available for festival goers.

Who are we?

The organisers/promoters are Hammerhead Music Production in collaboration with Tahamoana Angora Goat Farm.

This event is hosted at Tahamoana Outdoor Event Center in Waipu Cove (South of Whangārei) at Tahamoana Angora Goat Farm next to the beautiful pacific ocean on New Zealand's East coast in Northland.

What are our plans for future events?

We are now in the throes of planning the second year running this small but very successful event and plan to build on the debut festival's success by expanding Hammerfest 2027 to include a bigger lineup, more food vendors, etc.
